The Adult Program assists those individuals who may have low or no job skills,
low literacy levels and numeracy skills, poor or inadequate formal education,
poor work history, and/or those who were previously incarcerated.
Through the use of resources provided under the Workforce
Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), we help adults obtain
employment by providing job-related training and/or job search services.
Certified Career Advisors are available to help customers decide which
WIOA-related services and/or services that are provided by our partner agencies apply to
We provide one-on-one advising and work with our adult
customers to help them determine their best path to success. We will be there to assist customers along their chosen path, during
their training period and after employment, until they achieve success.
Adult customers are entitled to access Career Services that include initial assessments, comprehensive assessments, career planning, development of individualized employment plans, short-term pre-vocational services, internships and work experiences including transitional jobs and industry partnerships, referral to other programs, access to internet job listings, labor market information,
financial aid information, self-assessment internet-based tools, and follow-up services. In addition workshops on resume writing, financial literacy, work-readiness skill development, computer skills, and other topics are scheduled various times throughout the work week.
Referral to English language acquisition programs is also available.
