The WIOA goal of universal access to career services is
achieved primarily through close integration of services provided by the Wagner-Peyser, WIOA adult and
dislocated worker partners, and other partners in the American Job Center system. Some of the career services available include:
- WIOA eligibility determination and program enrollment services
- Skills assessment and career counseling as well as assessment of literacy, numeracy and English language levels,
- Outreach to individuals and employers
- Job search
assistance, employment-related training program information,
- Access to
Internet-based job listings, access to word processing and resume writing
software, job search materials, access to telephones and fax machines.
- Referrals to and coordination of activites with orhter programs & services.
In addition, our customers are provided information on the
availability of supportive services such as childcare and transportation assistance.
Workforce Connection partner staff assist with helping customers determine eligibility for other
programs such as TANF, SNAP, unempoyment claims, Title 1b Adult Program, Dislocated Worker and Trade programs, and other services. Assistance is
available to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid and enrolling in
education and specific workforce skill development courses.
